SCRAP VALUE CALCULATOR.

What's your rig actually worth in metal? The honest math scrapyards use — no sugarcoating.

TOTAL WEIGHT

10,000–13,000 lbs

RECOVERABLE METAL (~35%)

3,500–4,550 lbs

GROSS SCRAP VALUE

$263–$796

The reality check: that gross number is before teardown labor, transport, landfill fees for the 65% that isn't metal, and hazmat handling. On most Class C motorhomes the real-world net is at or below zero — which is why yards charge to take them instead of paying. The win isn't selling the metal. It's ending the storage fees, fines, and liability in one visit.

Estimates use typical dry weights, metal-content ratios, and shredded-steel ranges of $150–$350/gross ton. Local yard prices vary daily — this tool is for honest orientation, not a purchase offer.

Licensing varies by city & state. We do not claim to be pre-licensed in every jurisdiction we appear to serve. Where local permits/credentials are required and we can't reasonably obtain them in time, we sub-contract a properly licensed local operator. Mobile homes, motorhomes, RVs & campers: Portland OR, Vancouver WA, and a growing list of cities now require certified asbestos testing before haul or demolition. If a sample comes back hot, abatement adds thousands in cost and unlicensed handling can carry up to one year in county jail. We do not haul around the law — we comply or we hand off.
